📋 SSC Stenographer Vacancy 2025

The SSC has tentatively announced approximately 261 vacancies. The Total number of vacancies, along with post-wise details and category-wise,  will be published on SSC website: ssc.gov.in.


✅ Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • Candidates must have passed XII standard or equivalent examination from a recognized/Institution board on or before 1st August 2025.

Age Limit (as on 01.08.2025):

  • Stenographer Grade ‘C’: 18 to 30 years

  • Stenographer Grade ‘D’: 18 to 27 years

  • Relaxations apply for all reserved categories as per government rulls

✍️ Skill Test in Stenography

  • Candidates who will clear the Computer-Based Test (CBT) they will be shortlisted and  appear for the Stenography Skill Test.

  • Speed Requirement:

    • Grade ‘C’: 100 w.p.m.

    • Grade ‘D’: 80 w.p.m.

  • Dictation in Hindi or English; transcription on a computer.

  • ₹100/- (General category)

  • No Fee for SC/ST/PwBD/Women/ESM
