Eligibility Criteria for NESTS Internship 2025

The internship programme is open to:

  • All Indian students studying in India or abroad.

  • Students who have completed their graduation degree or are pursuing post-graduation/PG Diploma/advanced academic degrees.

  • Students in their third/final year can also apply.

  • Age Limit: The candidate must not exceed 30 years at the time of application.

Additionally, students or scholars interested in conducting pilot projects or micro-studies related to ongoing activities of NESTS are encouraged to apply.

Duration of the Internship

The short-term internship usually lasts between one to two months. Successful completion of this duration is necessary to be eligible for the experience certificate.

Note: Only two interns at a time will be accommodated in this programme.

Selection Process

  • Applications are accepted from 1st to 10th of every month in the prescribed format (Annexure-I).

Stipend and Benefits

Selected interns will receive:

  • A stipend of Rs. 10,000 per month.

  • Two leaves during the internship period.

  • Reimbursement of travel costs for official tours (Deluxe/AC Bus/3-Tier AC Train) and DA applicable to Level 5 as per existing Government of India rules.

  • An experience certificate upon successful completion of the programme.

Completion and Certification

Interns must complete their assigned projects and submit/present their reports on time. In case of non-performance or non-compliance, NESTS reserves the right to terminate the internship by issuing a notice.
