Job Description

The District Development Consultant (DDC) will work in close coordination with NABARD Regional Office, District Administration, Local Governments, and Community-Based Organizations to generate positive outcomes in the following areas:

  • Natural Resource Management – Planning and implementing sustainable natural resource use strategies.
  • Financial Inclusion – Promoting credit linkages and enhancing financial services for rural communities.
  • Sustainable Agriculture – Supporting farmers in adopting modern and sustainable agricultural practices.
  • Rural Infrastructure Development – Ensuring the success of NABARD-funded rural development projects.
  • Technology Adoption – Facilitating the introduction of modern technology in rural areas.

Key Responsibilities

✔️ Identify district needs through stakeholder consultations and prepare annual work plans.
✔️ Ensure proper implementation of NABARD-funded projects in agriculture and rural infrastructure.
✔️ Act as a liaison between NABARD, District Administration, and Financial Institutions.
✔️ Provide capacity-building support to NGOs, SHGs, and FPOs.
✔️ Develop and implement district credit plans to promote financial inclusion.
✔️ Monitor project progress and prepare periodic analytical reports.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • Essential:
    • MBA/PGDM/MSW/Post Graduation in Rural Development or related subjects (Two-year full-time/regular) from reputed institutions/universities.
    • Any graduation in case of officers retired from State/Central Government services, Banks, and Public Financial Institutions with proven track records.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience in development projects, preferably at the district or sub-district level in rural areas.

Skills Required

  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent drafting and report preparation skills.
  • Strong communication skills in written and spoken English.

Age Limit

  • Preferably below 35 years (Relaxation for retired officers from State/Central Government services, Banks, and Public Financial Institutions).

Salary and Benefits

  • Initial Annual CTC: ₹11.26 Lakhs (with provision for annual increment based on performance).
  • Disbursement: Monthly basis, with applicable income tax deduction under Section 192B.
