Eligibility Criteria
Nationality
The applicant must be a citizen of India or fall under the eligibility conditions prescribed for citizens of Nepal, Bhutan, Tibetan refugees, or Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs).

Age Limit (as on 01.09.2025)

  • Office Assistants (Multipurpose): 18 – 28 years

  • Officer Scale I: 18 – 30 years

  • Officer Scale II: 21 – 32 years

  • Officer Scale III: 21 – 40 years
    (Age relaxations apply as per Government rules.)

Educational Qualification

  • Office Assistants: Graduate in any discipline, proficiency in local language, computer knowledge desirable.

  • Officer Scale I: Graduate in any discipline; preference for degrees in Agriculture, IT, Management, Law, Economics, etc.

  • Officer Scale II (General Banking): A graduate degree with at least 50% marks along with a minimum of 2 years’ experience as an officer in a bank or financial institution.

  • Officer Scale II (Specialist Officers): Degree in relevant field (IT, Law, CA, Marketing, Agriculture, etc.) with experience.

  • Officer Scale III: Graduate with 50% marks + minimum 5 years banking/financial institution experience.

Exam Pattern
Preliminary Exam (Objective)
For Office Assistants & Officer Scale I

  • Reasoning – 40 Qs, 40 Marks

  • Numerical/Quantitative Ability – 40 Qs, 40 Marks

Main Exam
IBPS RRB Main Exam includes sections on Reasoning, Computer Knowledge, General Awareness, English/Hindi Language, and Numerical/Quantitative Aptitude, carrying a total of 200 marks.

Single Exam (for Scale II & III)
Covers Reasoning, Financial Awareness, Professional Knowledge, Computer Knowledge, English/Hindi Language, Quantitative Aptitude.

👉 Penalty of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
