✅ Eligibility Criteria

For Chairperson of Arunachal Pradesh Lokayukta:

  • Must be or have been a Judge of the Supreme Court or Chief Justice/Judge of a High Court with impeccable integrity; OR

  • An eminent person with at least 20 years of experience in public administration, law, finance, insurance, banking, anti-corruption policy, or management.

For Non-Judicial Member (Preferably APST Woman):

  • Must be an eminent person of high integrity, having at least 20 years of experience in relevant fields like public administration, finance, law, or anti-corruption policy.

🚫 Disqualifications

A person shall not be eligible if they:

  • Are a Member of Parliament/State Legislature

  • Are convicted of moral turpitude

  • Are under 45 years of age

  • Are a Member of Panchayat or Municipality

  • Have been dismissed from government service

  • Are engaged in business or political activity at the time of appointment

📅 Tenure

  • The Chairperson and Member will serve a term of 5 years and will not be eligible for reappointment.

💰 Salary and Allowances

  • The Chairperson will receive salary/allowances equivalent to the Chief Justice of the Gauhati High Court.

  • The Member will be paid on par with a Judge of the High Court of Gauhati, as per Arunachal Pradesh Lokayukta (Condition of Service) Rule, 2018.
